The
estate is situated on the northern bank of Brahmaputra. The Tezpore tea compound was established in 1864 by a team
of enterprising people. Very soon in 1885 the company was merged with the Gogra Tea Estate owned by W. Skinner to form the
Tezpur & Gogra Tea Company Limited. Since then the estates have seen immense success and have proved to be
beneficial for the company.
